Titanium is a basic requirement for crafting and fixing many science path items.
Usage[]
Titanium is used for the Fix Power Plant, Build Elevator, Repair Escort Ship, Study the Stars, and Old Wrecks quests. Titanium is also used for repairing vehicles and crafting.

In one of the newer updates, there is a cave that has a chest with titanium. Everything in the cave respawns at random every time you enter. Straight down from the entry point, almost to the bottom, it is found inside 4 blocks of lava. This can be used to farm titanium if one enters the cave, digs straight down until the bottom is reached, and then one digs from side to side until the chest is found, leaves the cave, and then repeats the process.
